God bless
Amie Street, and Polyvinyl, Matador, and Beggars for releasing their catalogs on Amie Street. Lots and lots of indie music is now available. The way Amie Street works, for those who haven't used it before, is that when music is released it starts out free or with a minimal cost (10 cents or so per track), and then as it gets popular, the price goes up, I think topping out at 99 cents. So with all the new releases, I spent $18 and got:
Cat Power - You Are Free
Cornershop - Handcream for a Generation
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Mission of Burma - The Obliterati
The Mountain Goats - Get Lonely
Neu! - Neu!
The New Pornographers - Challengers
Of Montreal - Satanic Panic in the Attic
Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
Pavement - Slanted and Enchanted
Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
Pavement - Wowee Zowee
Pixies - Bossanova
Pixies - Come On Pilgrim
Pixies - Trompe Le Monde
Prodigy - Experience
Super Furry Animals - Phantom Power
Voxtrot - Voxtrot
Voxtrot - Your Biggest Fan (EP)
$18 = 18 albums and an EP. Not bad.
